New Release: 7th July SPOGS Racing- WiiWare

If you haven't played something liked this before then one question - where have you been? If you love playing 90's game then maybe you wont get too tired..

Wonder World Amusement Park - Release Date: July 8th

On July 8th Wonder World Amusement Park will be available for sale on the Wii. There are over 30 games on the disk. Thirty different games sounds great, but just how interesting will these games be? Immediately here at Gamenium.com we're thinking 30 games = Mini Games = Mario Party 8 - but maybe without the Party.

Mario Party 8 was fantastic because it iincorporated the min-games into an overall package of substance. Having studied the previews of this game in depth, we simply haven't seen too much to suggest that Wonder World Amusement Park will deliver in the same way. There just doesnt seem to be anything to get excited about with this game.

Mario Super Sluggers worth the wait

mariosluggerscover.jpg

Most of us wont be able to get our hands on Mario Super Sluggers until August 25 at least. That is when the game hits North American markets (confirmed) and also probably the European markets. However the game has just been released in Japan and promises to be a smash hit!

The gameplay of Mario Super Sluggers is similar to that of its predecessor Mario Superstar Baseball. The big difference being thew use of the Wii Remote. Crucially in Mario Superstar Sluggers the Wii Remote is used in a similar way to the much loved Baseball game in Wii Sports.

Aside from hitting the ball, your opponent can use the Wii Remote held sideways to throw objects at fielders to attempt to keep them from catching the ball!

Think of the anarchy and object throwing of Mario Kart transferred to the Baseball Diamond.

Gamenium.com tips a Sonic renaissance

Sonic Unleashed is the latest offering from Sega and is due to be released in the Fall of 2008.
Sonic and Mario were head-to-head in the early 90's as these two iconic characters battled for supremacy in the console and game wars. In those days Sonic was very much in the Sega Megadrive camp whilst Mario was the star of the Nintendo SNES.
Today of course Sega aiims for Sonic to become an integral part of the Nintento game arsenal and with Sonic Unleashed we see Sega trying to recapture the former glory of Sonic the Hedgehog.
Looking at the way Sega have cleverly combined 2D side-scrolling platform gameplay (as in the early successful Sonic games) with 3D visuals, Sega could well be set to experience a Sonic renaissance.
